Here are some simple rules of the road all SFTri members
should follow. Remember... we must share the road with
cars and obey the same rules they do and then some.
Also remember that our actions reflect who
we are individually and as a club. So let's be sure
to put our best foot forward.
- Ride single file on the right side of the road and
always pass on your left. Make sure
to call out to the rider that you are passing so they know
your intentions.
- Pay attention to traffic signs and lights.
- If there are obstacles in the road, make sure to call it
out or point it out the the riders behind you even if you
don't see what it is.
- Always be on the right side of the yellow lines on a road. Under no circumstance should you ride on the opposite side of the yellow lines.
- Learn and utilize hand signals for 'Slowing/Stopping', 'Right Turn' and 'Left Turn' so that you keep other riders and motorists informed of your intentions.
- If you plan on joining us for a club ride, you must
always wear your helmet.
- Always be courteous and mindful to riders, pedestrians
and motorists.
